We celebrated my birthday at Sushi Mura last month, and it was a wonderful experience. Honestly, no matter which location we go to, the food is always fresh and consistently delicious. The staff greet you so warmly every time—it really makes a difference. The kids were clearly excited for dad's birthday; they knew exactly what they wanted and placed their own orders! My wife and I always order the same dishes: the Spicy Seafood Jjampong Udon and the Korean-style Spicy Chirashi Don—our favorites. And now, this month, it's our son's birthday. Of course, we’re heading back to Sushi Mura again to celebrate. We’re already looking forward to another great meal, and yes—we’re planning to enjoy dessert too, just like last time

This place offers large and fancy dishes. The portion is twice as large as the average sushi place in Vancouver. We could not finish the dishes at all.

Apps was amazing, friendly staff, dining experience was great. Two of us ordered some dragon rolls and they were delicious. Ingredients were fresh and quality was excellent. Environment was also good, but the parking was a little bit not that friendly due to and WiFi or service signal were bad, hard to connect and pay for it.

Edited: 2nd Review I’ve been a frequent customer of Sushi Mura in Richmond and have generally enjoyed my visits. However, this time, my experience fell short of expectations. We arrived on Sunday at noon for lunch, expecting it to be busy. While there was a large group of nine waiting and a few smaller groups of twos and threes, the restaurant didn’t seem overwhelmingly packed. When I approached the front desk, the receptionist—a taller woman—was busy calling names from the waitlist and did not acknowledge my presence. Initially, I understood she might have been preoccupied, but after several minutes, she continued to overlook me, avoiding eye contact and proceeding to seat other guests without any acknowledgment. Eventually, she placed the clipboard in front of me without a word and walked away, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I added my name to the list and waited patiently. After about 20 minutes, we were seated, and my wife and son ordered sashimi and sushi dishes, while I opted for chicken teriyaki. Unfortunately, while all other dishes arrived within 10 minutes, my order took an unacceptable 40 minutes to be served. I appreciate the male staff member who followed up and sincerely apologized for the delay, as well as the younger female server who brought our bill and checked in on our experience. That said, I was disappointed that nothing was done to make up for the significant delay in my order. More concerning was the lack of professionalism from the front desk staff. A receptionist should be welcoming and attentive, and unfortunately, this particular staff member did not demonstrate the necessary customer service skills. I hope management addresses these issues to maintain the high standards that have made Sushi Mura a favorite for many. ———————————————————/- Original 1st Review: Delicious food, fair prices, and excellent service make this spot a must-visit. The only drawback? No free or designated parking for customers, so be prepared to hunt for a spot. We came for Sunday lunch, and thanks to a whopping two inches of snow in Richmond (yes, really lol), the restaurant was nearly empty. But that just meant faster service and piping hot dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The tonkatsu in the picture? That’s the extra meat option, because when it’s this good, more is always better! Don’t miss out on this place!

This place is amazing! I love the tablet at the table that allows you to place your order by yourself, it even has the ability to split your bill. I came here with my friends and we were able to split the bill in 3 easily using the tablet. I thought it was a bit expensive compared to other sushi places, however they give VERY generous portions. The salmon is cut very very thick, everything is fresh, I ordered the salmon don, and it literally came in 2 minutes. Granted, it's just rice and salmon, but the restauraunt was pretty full. One thing I found weird is that every other table got these tea cups that were tall and my friends and I all had tea cups that were half the size? I drank a lot of the tea, the staff came to refill our cups pretty often. The service is great; the food is fresh, the value is excellent and I would come all the time if I lived nearby.

I've been to some pretty good sushi places, but OMG that was by far the best sushi experience I have ever had!!! Everything tasted absolutely amazing and was super fresh and well prepared. Presentation of the dishes and atmosphere in the restaurant was stunning, and the service was quick and friendly. The Unagi Nigiri literally melted in my mouth, and I have never seen such generously cut chunks of sashimi anywhere. All the fish was super fresh and high quality too. Will absolutely be back next time I am in Vamcouver!

We were originally assigned to a table without iPad, but after asking the staff, they immediately switched us to another table. The service was excellent. Every dish was delicious! My friend who recommended this place to me has been here many times.
